Installing pscx on fresh win 8.1 install

This might be a n00b question, but I downloaded pscx-3.1.0.msi onto my new install of windows 8.1, ran the installer which was successful, then ran 'import-module pscx' and I get:

"import-module : The specified module 'pscx' was not loaded because no valid module file was found in any module directory."

Do I need to copy the pscx files somewhere? Is the installer supposed to install them in the module path?

The installer modifies the PSModulePath envvar but it doesn't take until you've logged out and back in. You can specify the path for now:

Ipmo 'c:\program files (x86)\powershell community extensions\pscx3\pscx\pscx.psd1'

Cue my rant about non-standard install locations.
Can we change it to C:\Program Files\WindowsPowerShell\Modules now?

Thanks Keith. It's all working fine after a reboot!
