Changing edit-file text editor

I've just installed PSCX on Windows 7 Enterprise 64.bit.

I'm having no success in getting PSCX to use a different text editor than notepad when I invoke the edit-file cmdlet.  I've tried numerous things to try and get the cmdlet to use UltraEdit, to no avail.  This includes defining the variable $PscxTextEditorPreference with long and short path to the Uedit32.exe.  But the cmdlet still uses notepad.

Any help in getting this sorted out - i.e. the specific file to edit, the specific command to issue - would be greatly appreciated.  Sorry if I'm missing something basic.
