Hi,

Just looking to see if you have any rough ETA for your 3.1 release that'll work with Windows 8.1.

With the current 3.0 release, I get the following error:

The property 'Get' cannot be found on this object. Verify that the property exists.
At C:\Program Files (x86)\PowerShell Community Extensions\Pscx3\Pscx\Modules\Wmi\Pscx.Wmi.psm1:15 char:9
  • if (!$acceleratorsType::Get.ContainsKey($name))
  • ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    • CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (:) [], ParentContainsErrorRecordException
    • FullyQualifiedErrorId : PropertyNotFoundStrict
Thanks

The installer has been updated but needs more testing. We are also looking at doing some fixes on the archive cmdlets. At this point I'm shooting for Oct 18th.

Thanks!

Is there an easy patch/fix for that one error that I can make locally until 3.1 arrives?

Copy the Pscx.UserPreferences.ps1 file to your home dir and then modify it - at the bottom set WMI = $false. When you import PSCX do it like so:

Import-Module Pscx -arg "$home\Pscx.UserPreferences.ps1"

Thanks, that did the trick!

Looking forward to the 3.1 release with the VS 2013 VcVars support too!
