How can I get rid of this annoying echoing:

C:/src> cd C:/TMP
C:\TMP
C:/TMP>

Does anybody know?

Because some folks don't display the path in their prompt so when you use cd - or cd + it is nice to see where you wound up. You can turn this off in your Pscx.UserPreferences.ps1 file. Note that if you aren't using it, copy that file from the PSCX module dir to your home dir. Modify it: CD_EchoNewLocation = $false Then import PSCX like os: Import-Module PSCX -arg ~\Pscx.UserPreferences.ps1
